I have an old Bachmann Handcar, got is at a club meeting white elephant prize, this has the pancake motor, and found one of the gears on an axle is broken. Do not think Bachmann has these available anymore.
Everything else is fine, removed all the old hard grease and re-lubed it, motor runs fine.
This is setup a special way and do not want to send it to Bachmann as they will only give me a newer model.

North West Short Line has the gear You need Dennis, (NWSL.com). I replaced both of mine on my hand car. They are made of brass or metal instead of plastic. Be careful when replacing them. You need to press them onto the axles and get them into the same position as the old ones… Travis

Got a reply from Bachmann, nothing available in stock anymore for the Yellow handcar.
Do you possibly have a NWSL part number still?
