The issue was, the weltherfactor decided to modify said posting.

Anymore, a .45ACP is made by more manufacturers in copy mode…at a glance, most you can really tell is semi-auto, large calibre, and finish.

I’m usually good enough to tell you 1911 or 1911A-1, even blued or parkerized.

Have a 15-slug mag for mine.

Back to the outside-framed Mogul.

Really, somebody would be better off getting a Bach outside-framed 2-8-0 and bobbing it.

Sir, you will note that I opined that it had the ‘appearance of a Colt .45 self-loading pistol’, not that it was a Springfield Armoury, Ballester Mollina, Star Model B, Kimber, or any other clone or near-clone of J M Browning’s slab-sided wondergun. My opinion was further supported by the additional evidence of the rampant colt emblem stamped on the slide…

As it turned out, it was an airsoft replica, but had nevertheless been used in an armed robbery. The gentleman waving it, a many-times offender, still has 18 years left to serve as I write this note.

Best wishes

Yeah, I know.
I have my son’s old AirSoft .45, he’s 36 now.

Also my Uncle’s Hahn .45 CO2 revolver, late 40’s anyway, hard to tell on some of those.
Had morons shot by police (and homeowners) when miscreants brandish said plastic guns.

Had made available to me an Ithaca Auto and Burglar gun, Feds say okay to own, my state says no, original owner was grandfathered, so he sold it (with paperwork) out of state.

You’d never guess what state it’s legal in.

New York.

Now, one of those pieces, made from 1922 to 1934 ONLY, would be a very nice unit to have on hand…

Last time someone asked that question of a Forum, the weltherfactor kicked in, and some aXXhole decided to modify a post and send it to Bachmann in a vain attempt to get me sued...
That sucks.

What’s a “weltherfactor”?

That is as much as I post…
