Wanted - Aristocaraft Pacific for parts.

First of all Thank you to all the information provided on my first attempt at this project.

I am looking for a Aristocraft Pacific engine or engines with tender for a kitbash project. I have two older engines that I would like to modify to look alike Mountain class 4-8-2 engine. One for Great Northern and one for L&N.

Looking for the drive(s) that can be salvaged. Also looking for the metal siderods and connecting rods from a Mikado class engine.

On a side note, If anyone in Near the Vanderburgh county Fair ground North of Evansville, Indiana stop by and see the Christmas display I hope to have these engine running at Next year. Nov. 26 , Dec 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, & 23 at 6 to 9 PM and Nov 27, Dec 4, 11, 18, and maybe 24, 6 to 8 PM.

Evansville, IN.

I think you want to use the newer modular gearboxes… the older units had different gearboxes and it is way more difficult to “add axles”… so be sure of what you are asking for/getting.

Greg

Greg, as you know, those are hard to find and pricey when you do track one down.

So Very True Jerry Barnes.

Michael Glavin and myself have been rebuilding them for our R.R.'s and even with what we picked up, we still have to make some of our own parts…or re-modify to get one running. There is nothing very often out there that is worth picking up…

I bought several cartons of motor blocks, even though they are diesels, they do have motors and gearboxes.

Funny, they all have stainless steel wheels.

Mikado side rods won’t work on Pacific drive
