WANTED: Aristo Bettendorf Truck Parts

Somehow I lost the brake casting and the two springs from one side of an Aristo Bettendorf truck from an Evans 50 Double Door 40 Foot Box Car.

If anyone has these parts, or a complete single truck in their parts bin I would be happy to purchase from you.

This is the truck I’m speaking of. Photo linked from Greg’s website without permission. Will be removed on request.

I got you covered shoot me an e-mail Jon with your address again

I thought the Evens boxcars had the Barber S2 Roller Bearing trucks, not the Bettendorf trucks

They do Maynard but I thought maybe Jon changed them out …either way I can probably fix him up.

Barbers are the ones with the rotating bearing, yes? Mine have journal boxes like the picture. Might not be an Evans car. Is the double door Frisco box car from ECLSTS a few years ago (40 Ft, not 50 ft).

Thanks Roos. Email sent to the Comcast address I had on file for you. PM me if you changed email.

Jon I found the parts your after and will ship you the care package this weekend but I need you to call me when it arrives ok…

Hope they don’t X Ray it

I hope they don’t drop it.

And God help anyone if someone dials that cell phone’s number by mistake.

That won’t work! You have to report batteries shipped in the mail

That part is available from a guy on the OVGRS web page…he produces replacement parts for some of the Aristo trucks.

Thanks Fred. Good to know. Rooster has me covered for now. Hopefully I wont loose any more. I have no idea how I lost this one. I had the trucks off looking at them for coupler conversion and when I went to put them back on noticed it missing. I can understand the springs shooting off into a good hiding place, but the brakes are too big to miss and they are nowhere in my shop. Perhaps they were never there.

John, I once had a truck on a new car that was missing 2 journal bearing inserts. The wheels were awfully floppy without them. But I also had a pair of broken trucks from somewhere, and I used one of them to fix the new car. So, possibly the parts were missing NIB.

The package arrived and to my surprise did not explode when I opened it. I had time today to repair the truck; change out the couplers and put the car in service with it’s proper trucks.

Thanks again Rooz. I owe you one!
