Large Scale Central

Wanamaker, PA depot

David,
Thanks for the information on the stones.
One piece at a time, yes, I am used to that
type of construction.

Rick

Finished enough for now. I really have to get some other work done around the house. I will add the details (lights, freight, steps, paint touch-up, glass, etc.) later.

That’s a neat little depot. It has “character”. I like it!..

“That’s a neat little depot. It has “character”. I like it!”

It’s really sweet. I remember when I was a hogger for the W,K&S, we would run the locomotive around the train at Wanamaker. The “characters” were usually standing in the gangway of the first coach while I tried to couple-up to it. The trick was to hit the coach hard enough to drop the pins in both couplers (the front coupler on the coach was sticky), but without dropping any of the tourists (from the gangway). Ah, the “good old days” (mid-1970s)!

Best,
David Meashey

It does have "character". Small, but not at all boring. And would fit nicely on any size layout. Ralph
