I need the fans for a SD70ACE. It appears I’ll have to make them from scratch. It leaves me to say, you’re lucky that those fans match up!
(I struggle with gluing up the small stuff)
I think Bob got so flustered with the F symbol he gave up this project!
I think he is still debating whether that unit will have HEP cabling and a Sinclair antenna added to it .
The 2200MAH NiCad pack I put in her last year died a couple of weeks ago. Tonight I installed a new 4400MAH Tenergy pack, and gave her the beginnings of a weathering job.

Just in time for the Invasion.

Ya don’t see the “F”
Sure I do. Right after the G!
Lookin’ good Bob!
I don’t know what you’re using for rust. I hate to say it. I need to get some of that!
Nice work on the weathering, Bob! I wish I had picked up one of these engines back when they were readily available. Funny to think of Guilford as a bit of heritage scheme!
I’m also looking at that Tenergy 4400mAh pack for my signature GP9. The old 10yr old NiMH pack i had went sour this winter, and now the repurposed battery in there now just isn’t getting the job done any more.
Looks good with just a hint of wear.
Isn’t that an F, right there behind the steps?
Yea, she sure looks good. For one a dem newfangled, diesel-lectric thangs.
I was looking at the other front
Yea. What kind of weird contraption is it, that they have to label which end the front is? With steam locomotives its obvious. Same with automobiles. But they have to label them newfangled, diesel-lectric things so the driver knows what end is the front. Maybe, if they ever figure them things out, they just might catch on.

Sure iss, then again what do you expect from Guilford, they are an ass backwards company - D&H Fan here btw
curious to see what it looks like now. Did you swap the engineer to face the new front, is it better running now that its broken in??? Inquiring minds want to know Bob? Well at least I do. I don’t care what those air quality killing steam guys think Diesel Electric any time!
The smell of coal fired steam in the air IMPROVES the quality of the air. Diesel smoke is just nasty.
