I have had the same problem with other member’s profiles. The reason is when a member sets up their profile the default for viewing it is set to “Just Me”. Same thing for posting on a profile. Becoming friends is not the solution. To change access so that others can see your profile follow these steps.
Note: it has nothing to do with editing your profile.
Go to “Settings” at the very top of every LSC page (select settings)
When the new page comes up look for the second block over that says “Privacy” (select privacy)
Scroll down to where it says “Who can view my profile”. (just me, just friends, friends and networks, all registered members, anybody) this is where being friends matters if you wish to limit access.
Adjust the other settings the same way and click “save” at the bottom of the page.
People can now see you…including the CIA, FBI, DORC (that is the one to worry about) and of course the LSC Secret Police and itinerant death squads.
For those that are interested I have updated my profile to allow all members to see it when you are logged in. I know you are really just trying to steal my BBQ secrets…but they are not secrets. They are right here: https://cibolalmrr.com/visitors/food/bbq/
And another thing Devon if you are coming to Phoenix then pick up Pete, John and Doug and all of you make the trip over to Albuquerque and we will get arrested…I really want to take 2926 for a spin but I can’t do it alone. I will handle the throttle, one of you fire the boiler, somebody ring the bell and the last person stands on the pilot and yells for the other trains to “get out of our way”!!!
