Video of my UP Streamliner on it's first run of 09

I got out my UP streamliner set for the first time this year. It is an Aristo FA-1 A&B unit with an E-8 nose, Marty and I swapped noses, he wanted mine for a turbine project. I like the E-8 looks but the are soooo long, and I have short cars I made 15 years ago to fit my smaller curves on the layout I had in town. I did repaint them last year and my wife cut new vinyl lettering for them-she used to run a sign biz out of the house. It is battery powered, I think I may take out the R/C unit and just run it with an on/off switch. I like things simple, like my mind!

AAAA+++++

Jerry-
Thanks for the video.
Curiosity question:
When did passenger trains run the two “A” units vs. A - B consist? Was there ever a preference or simply what was available? Of course, the “A” units may be a second call as they were in demand as leads.

Thanks,
Wendell

Wendell, Can’t really say, I’m sure some with more knowledge of train ops will be able to answer that.
