Here is a link to my caboose whistle tooting tryout. I mounted the whistle on a block of wood and used various bits of piping and a old valve to give it that steam punk look. On he video I hook it up to my compressor and give it a toot. Enjoy.

I love the way you just naturally chose to make a 5 pound brake application during your demonstration of the caboose whistle/brake valve. One of the guys who taught me to run the Porters at the W,K&S tourist railroad tended to call a 5 pound brake application a “besh*t.” (Well, this is a family site - Fill in the missing vowel!) Boy did he ever have me confused until he demonstrated the sound by doing a 5 pound application on the train brake valve!
Oh the way we have to learn stuff sometimes! :rolleyes:
