Large Scale Central

V&T Welcomes Durango & Jasper #5

The V&T (eastern version) is happy to have Jim Rowson’s beautifully customized Climax and scratch-built battery-tanker on the line, and report that they made a very successful maiden run today.

The first video shows their unloading and starting off – without any rehearsal. Just set the carrier on the track and the pair slid gracefully onto the rails.

You might notice one of Jim’s “cliffhanger” buildings on the mountain. This is a temporary parking place, I need to make a more permanent home.

A lengthier clip across the layout, hauling log cars of the Jackson & Burke. These were built from Don Winter kits by Bruce Chandler. All is running rock solid!

And now, back into the carrier. Smooth as silk I tell ya!!

Excellent Cliff. I’m glad she landed where she will be appreciated and cared for!

Thanks, Nico! Good to see you here.

Well… if vertical fluorescent logs with happy faces were a thing (and I’m not saying they’re not), I suppose that sort of counts as a logging car… Jim? Bruce?

Happy, colorful logs? Huh. I vote no though it is good to see a smiling “face”…

My logs tend to be happy, but not colorful.

Rooster, my phone line is always open to you.

I thought they were the logging crew hot tubbing after a hard day of logging. :sunglasses:
