Jim and Bob Cope,
thank you both for the explanations.
now i can try to use this to make an easier transition of these threads to my website, than to copy/paste them into notepad and insert the .html codes by hand.

Jim, thank you again for this program.
i used it with my firefox and win xp.
after an all-nighter (just my rifle, my pony and me eh… just my keyboard, my coffee and me) searching and saving threads as html, i can say:
at first i was irritated, that the scraper sometimes showed all, some, or no placeholders for pics. but the HTMLs all showed all pics.
let us all hope, that the new forum-software will have a better search function…
scraping and saving of nearly 30 relevant threads took about half an hour alltogether, while hunting for threads from the last ten years took almost 7 hours.

Yup. Several of us have noted that my site does not play well with some photo sources. Those other sites just don’t trust me I guess. But when you save the html version and load it in the browser it all looks good. Weird!
Glad it worked for you!

i suspect it has to do with the famous security certificates,
my pics all are just http without “s”. scraper either shows all or none of the place holders for my pics in a thread.
as for the “mixed threads”:while they show no placeholders for my pics, all pics with placeholders, that i tried out, were https with the costly “s”.
