I’m looking at dong a small, temporary, indoor layout. Bachmann track is all over ebay and cheap. Anyone use it before and can report how well it worked. The area I’m using it in is dry, so rusting won’t be an issue. Any comments on how well the switches work is welcomed also.
It would work fine on an indoor temporary layout with most off-the-shelf trains. Rolling stock with scale profile flanges may have an issue. I used it one year under the Christmas tree without any problem. I’ve even used the much crappier Lionel Large Scale track back in’87 with my first “G” set…It worked fine too.
Wish I still had mine, I’d just send it to you but I tossed it years ago.
I would recommend using the plastic clips the tie the track sections together if you are not screwing the track down to any kind of base, otherwise you should be fine. Havent heard anything negative about Bmanns switches so they should be OK.
