Large Scale Central

used to be....Thomas

well not sure if anyone would be interested in this but I’ll post just in case.

a while back I got a worn out but running Thomas the tank engine with lots of missing parts.

it sat for some time not sure what I wanted to do with it. well finally decided to clean it, test it, fix it, then I striped it down and recreated it completely.

in the photos you will see what was created and another Thomas that I already had.

let me know what you think of the new creation.

Photos?

sorry first time posting photos here and didn’t do it right the first time apparently.

Interesting, not much left of the original, but really nice.

Nice job. I knew someone could make Thomas cool!

-Kevin.

Thanks guys, wasn’t sure if anyone here would like it.

Robert

It looks like the only thing you kept was the motor block.

I like it!

Battery planned?

Sean, battery is for smd led headlight has push button switch on the firebox side of wood box.

Nice conversion - looks like 7/8ths scale.

Well I love it. Nice little loco. I like these back woods engines. I expect to see a moonshine still in the back ground. I think there is a place for these lower end motor blocks…Well actually I have no idea if Thomas is low end…but I think many creative projects can be made using the cheap blocks. Great work.

Now that’s an engine. Looks much better faceless!(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
