USA is doing a good job for the modern day modeler.
But like you said, there goes the family fortune.
One or two would be OK for a “local” freight, but to
make them look good, you need a whole bunch.
Same with double stacks, hoppers, or bethgons.

I’m glad I’m a NG’er, with my one-of type cars.
I’d be broke if I modeled modern mainline.

Nick,

Robbie already has them listed on his site.

His price is listed at $183.89 each

Walgreens has a deal (at least in the madison, wi area) where you can get 3 maisto (1:24,1:25,1:27 depends on the car) prebuilt models for like $13. Selection varies, but its a good deal. Not all the models are the best of quality, just gotta pick n choose.

I agree, As my hopper train and stack train are over a 100. This will be my last major purchase unless I hit the lotto.

Brian,

Thanks, just looked at Robbie’s site. I will start doing the math soon.

Man, a unit train of those puppies would look great… you can also make what I often see here, where a train will have a number of similar, but different cars, in groups, like 10 of one type, 10 of another…

Well, the carrier cars are just about the cost of passenger cars, of course not too many 100 car passenger trains

Im glad I do Narrow Gauge. All I need is some flats, box cars, Gondolas, log cars and caboose and maybe 2-3 pass cars… I can save my money for engines instead. Thats why I like the older Kalamazoo and HLW cars. You can get the cheap and then add the details.
Its too bad USA trains does not get into NG.

So?

I have been waiting for the auto racks to add to my double stack train. Now, I am not sure I can afford a freight car that cost almost $200 dollars a pop. Too bad Trainworld dropped USA from their lineup. They generally had the lowest prices on USA stuff.

I just realized my pizza layout is one rack car wide by one rack car deep :stuck_out_tongue:

I just need to get 2 or 3, to place on Ric’s ““Timesaver””, and watch him move them around…

Huh?

A lot of my rolling stock is USA Trains.

Boxcars, Reefer, Cabooses, work cars, flat cars. And we’re narrow gauge.

Take a look at their “American Series” items. All are narrow gauge.

Dad, I'd loan you my Supersliners for that but I fear I would never see them again! We could me him switch them out with the Brandt Truck!

Okay, type slow. Let your fingers catch up with your thoughts. I know you get excited, but breath. Really it helps when you want to express your self. ;-)

Thanks Ric!
LMAO!!!

Last time I put an autorack and TOFC’s on the timesaver, I got that ““Now what am I supposed to do”” look…

I understand dad!
