When I switch the turnouts they short out the track and it shuts down the DCC (I am using PIKO Navigator). Some times they don’t throw all the way.

Mark - What is the track configuration? is there a reverse loop or other connection that causes a polarity change?
Which turnout? The #6 has a switched polarity frog. If that switch is stuck you will have problems.
Added a picture. I have the 10 foot diameter remote control switches I got from Charles Ro. Not sure about the polarity on the frogs.

The 10 footers should have plastic frogs and I don’t see a reason for it in your track work. Might be a faulty remote switch. You could always call Charles Ro Supply (USA Trains).
