This is probably a long shot, but… I’m looking to change some of the lettering on a USA Trains caboose. I’d like to keep the underlying color and all other markings if possible (of course I’d also like to win the lottery, but that’s pretty unlikely, too). Can you remove paint from a USA Trains caboose without damaging the color underneath?

That Purple Jug of Super Clean from Walmart works!
Soak a cotton ball and let it sit ( keeps running in check )

Thanks for the tip Sean. After the letters dissolve, will I end up with a ghost image where the letters were or will I have a clean surface? Thanks.

I realy don’t remember ghost image but it worked for me.
