Has anyone done any work on this loco?
I have one that the lights and sound work but
Not the motor. Not sure how the loco top comes
Off. I tried USA Trains but got no response.

Getting the unit open gets me to where I need to be.
I am hoping it is something simple like a bad switch.

Strange that the motor does not (apparently) work at all.

I just opened the unit.
Seems the owner or someone must have played with it.
The 3 screws holding the boiler on were loose.
I screw inside was missing.
I found a wire broken at the motor.
Also a broken wire at the smoke unit motor and
One of the front light wires.
Repaired all three and life is good.
