I see all the pictures just fine. Very nice passenger cars!
Thanks Michael, I had to “lower my shields” to allow the vigilink adware to execute…

See that you have to use their “program” to display the picture… that’s why I don’t use the freight shed…

Why?
why what?
why do they do that with pictures? the tracker makes money.

Vulnerability.
The less information accumulated about you, the less chance it will be abused…
Yep, like I said, vulnerability.
I don’t care. I like being vulnerable.

Yeah, I figure you’re giving me a hard time. And I’ve seen that picture of the Santa Fe train a hunderd times so I know who you are!
This is the train I’m talkin’ about. It’s beautiful. Like your Santa Fe:

That’s electric, not battery, right Greg? Which sound system to you have in there? Where do you put the electronics?
…
Great to see one of my Videos I made up for a train bud, here in Sacramento, CA.
That is one pretty train using USA Cars like Greg shows.
We had to rebuild the Obs. car to CZ specks with help with a few other for that end car. When we got done that price probable tripled the reg price on the build. Again, One of a kind and as 13 car Train with A-B-B sure look great as seen in the video… Thanks for showing the video. Noel
It’s not immediately obvious from my picture, but if you look at the length of the loco compared to the cars, you will see those are not F units but E8’s, much bigger and longer. Also, they will outpull anything USAT makes stock.
My web site has the installation details, the E8’s have 2 speakers each, running “stereo”, so 6 speakers, 3 decoders in that lashup.
Greg E. I still think you should swing by up here so I can test and run them… lol. Have a good day…me
Actually, I was referring to the USAT passenger cars that you have there, Greg. I prefer the USAT F3-AB units over the E-8’s; exactly like the WP train in Noel’s video that is currently on YouTube. Just preference, and true to the prototype.
The F units are coming, although I don’t have the shiny chrome ones… I am preparing an AABBBA set, and that needs 6 decoders, and 12 speakers and a fair amount of time… but it’s underway. I did an ABBA ATSF freight set with sound and it came out well.
I’m going to find out about adding weight, since the USAT trucks don’t have ball bearings.
We shall see.

Wow, that will be some lashup. Prototypical too.
But you’ll need some Hi-Levels to go with that lashup as the combined Super Chief El Capitan (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Yeah, that would be sweet Matt!
The old stuff is ok though… I wish I could find pictures of the double length car that was 2 cars joined together and with a big semicircular bar, it was on the “Del Mar Special” I believe in the late 50’s to early 60’s as I remember.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen pics of a double Santa Fe lounge car. Sounds very interesting.
I’m familiar with the SP articulated triple unit dining car used on the Daylights. And their “Tavern” car sounds similar to the semicircular bar you mention.
Cool photos here:
And the real thing.
The above can be found at http://www.spdaylight .net/Consist.html remove the space before .net
edited to include the prototype

Hollywood has an articulated car as he posted above in the consist. Seen it and it exists made up of 2 aristo streamliners.
That’s got to fun to carry out to the old railroad.
