I am a real fan of the USA 2 axle trucks and not so much on the 3 axle units. Question is when did USA drop the traction tires ? I just got a replacement block for a NW2 and it’s got 4 good wheels (No traction tires) I have changed out all my other units to get rid of them. I like the extra pickup from the solid wheels and I add about 1lb of weight to each loco to bring the traction back up.
Another question is why is the gearing different on the NW verses the Geeps , Never noticed it before until I was lubing the new block.
