I have some older ones, want to put in a strip of LED lights in each car since the light bulbs are very dim, anyone know of a place to get them with the wires already attached, probably will use 9 volt battery, but might hook them up to battery that runs engine, just need something easy because electronically challenged.

You can get strips of modules with 2 or 3 LEDs attached and pre-wired from sign supply sources. Unfortunately they come in strips of 100 modules and are a bit pricey.
allelectronics .com sells strips of LEDs I believe seperable in groups of ten
Tom, you could also look up Larry Pappi from aurora crossing, I had him build me 20 sets of 4 LED board sets with anti flicker caps for my Heavyweight cars and the price was very very good. Very simple to install and lowered my total current draw from 15 amps with lights to 4 amps. 1 Hudson and 11 heavyweights. 1-630-898-2372 Larry Pappi Nick

Nick, I live about 1/2 hour to 45 min from him, wish I would of known that, ordered some from all electronics already, but thanks for the heads up on Aurora Crossing, saved him on my fav sellers, I did really like that 4 led strip for the LGB coaches, would of fit nice.
