UP Caboose Done

I finished up the UP caboose that I made to roughly match the MDC cars I like to pull behind my live steam Mikado. I detailed some of the build in ‘UP Caboose Build’ in this forum but thought I"d post a new topic for the finished car.

I finished up the trucks with some brass sleeve bearings, made the axle ‘ends’ from metal duct tape that I embossed with a circle and pressed in 3 dots.

There is a blinkin red LED up on the cupola, I used a Christmas light set battery box with an onl/off switch to power it. It is under the frame with a piece of velcro.

I made the decals on clear laser decal paper.

Jerry looks great, you have really got that use of foil duct tape done to a fine science.

Jerry… It came out great…

Nice work Jerry

Kool -Love the rivets, but I need a better close up to count them (not)

Nice job.
Keep those red decals out of the sun. They’ll fade even with a UV resistant clear coat.
Ralph

Looks good Jerry!

Wonderful. That is just a great model.

Great scenery as well.

Gee, thanks guys!

I’ve never said this to a guy before, but you have a great caboose!

Seriously, nice work!

Caboose looks great Jerry! Good lookin’ railroad behind it too.

i am astonished, how good the outcome of your cheat-windows is.

That looks great Jerry. How soon are you going to detail the inside? (Just kidding!)

Hey, that works!

Thanks again, I just got a figure of ‘Woody’ from Toy Story to put on the back and waving.

Well done, indeed!

Thanks Lou. Found a figure for the caboose this morning. Yeah I’m sorta wacky! You can see the rear light on the cupola in this shot also.
