Does anyone in the Seattle area remember the Union Pacific Big Boy double headed with a Southern Pacific Daylight run from Tacoma to Everett and back 2006. It was all over the news. People could purchase tickets to ride. People lined up all over the stretch to see it. I took a video of it.

I think it’s great and it goes to show the BIG RR’s are still doing their thing and should be supported. However Warren won’t let you support his RR as he owns it all!
That’s not a Big Boy. It’s not even articulated. It’s UP #844, a 4-8-4.
I donot think a Big Boy has ever been in the portland area.
I do however expect that in the next couple of years a Big Boy will make it up to your area.
