Hi Goerge, long time no hear????????????

Hey George, where were you over the weekend? I walked past your booth twice (see how many time I go in the dealer hall) and never saw you. If they give you a bathroom break, there is a potti near the Alcove.

You can cheat if you like and are not a rivet counter it would look fine. Later RJD

BTW Featherlile. Guess what AC did not like where you posted this on there forum and they locked the thread. Later RJD

OK, DeBerg. BTW, I answer to Steve, mostly.

I don’t think it was off topic. It was of general interest, about trains, and about a locomotive that Aristo makes.

I don’t mind cheating, especially as no one makes the ES45. I suppose I could extend the radiator, but don’t really find it necessary. “It will look good from 10 feet.”

A comment was made on the Aristo forum that piqued my interest, so here goes. I would be interested to know if anyone else would be interested in custom decals for this unit. I am going to contact Stan Cedarleaf and see what the costs would be for the artwork and a per sheet price for the decals. If enough people are interested in splitting the up front cost it looks like a failry easy job to do the makeover. If you are interested contact me offlist please.

I’m in!

Probably be a lot easier and cheaper to ‘model’ the unit image that Bernie stumbled across and shared !

"…don’t think it was off topic. It was of general interest, about trains, and about a locomotive that Aristo makes. "
As we’ve all been enlightened it isn’t a Aristo’ produced loco, and general interest/about trains ---- off-topic ! If more would read the manuals (in this case forum “rules”) there would less …

p.s. considering George and i both seemed to be on the LSOL chatfeed at the same time friday p.m. of the show I presumed he pulled shortstraw to be the one of few remaining behind at AC HQ ! … man the phones, computers, shpg dept., otherwise there would have been the usual naysayers IMHO !!

I’m in also.

Geoff and Steve,

Besides myself, yourselves, and one other, that was all the interest I got in the decals. I fear that the artwork would be rather pricey to split amongst the four of us. I did not pursue Stan, I had wanted to see how much interest there would be. Much less than I had thought there might have been.

Thanks for your interest, but I am gonna let this one go :frowning:

Too bad.

First I need to get a Dash 9 then I might talk with the guy that did Andy Clarke’s locos. I’m sure I can get one some how. May just take some time and money. two things I have little of right now.

I have no interest. Im not a big fan of the Boy Scouts today. They are are nothing like they use to be. 90 percent of the scouts I deal with today always cause problems. Leaving garbage around, Leaders drinking when the kids are in bed, illegal campfires and the list goes on and on. Maybe Aristo is smart.

Shawn the same could be said about our school system as well. YOu giving up on it? ITs not the BSA, its the leaders. Maybe you should be a Scout leader and change things. The troop I was in as a kid is still the same and I still help out when I can. My God - son was/is in the same troop. Its the oldest troop in St. Louis and one of the oldest in the country. It started in 1917 and has been going strong seens. I am just as prode to have been a Boy Scout as I am of having been in the Navy.

Just my two cents worth. I’m off my soap box now.

What he said. You will find that the troops who camp in parks are like Shawn has recently experienced, but the ones you never see because they are out in the bush are like Shawn was in as a boy.

I could tell ya stories…
