Under pressure - modular layout

Korm, you have accomplished much more than I have. You have a running layout. Judging by the smiles on peoples faces, your work was appreciated. Zehr gut! Sorry if I messed up the German.

joe, well, a running layout… sort of, if one is frugal enough.
for me this thing is nearer to a diorama, then to a layout.

this weekend reminded me of the old picture-joke, where a guy sits blindfolded in front of his tabletop layout with one small trackcircle.
saying: “i hate to see trains going just roundy-round.”

epilogue’s epilogue:

got everything home.
nothing stolen, just one hinge of a barndoor broken on transport home. (on an open pickup driving in second idling, but with winds above 30mph.)
oh, i forgot! there was some theft. during last night.
the millet, i made from wire, glue and coconut rasps was eaten clean by ants! swarming all over the layout this morning, looking for more goodies.

Never underestimate the power of a simple circle to inspire

… Unlike my ex-wife, who did all the above…

And that was all caused by a circle...

Nice work Korm

resurrecting the thread for some bragging:

it is a video about that hobby show. most of it about my layout. although it is in german, they filmed it so, that it looks better, than in reality.
