Under pressure - modular layout

To bad can't kick start Ralph B. on live cam.. lol.. Talk later, Noel
The only netcam I have is on my Netbook. Since it has a 10 inch screen, about the only time I use it is when I travel ;) Ralph

doing, what i like less. bending trees.

This is an interesting thread Korm. I’d ignored it because with the word “pressure” I thought it was a live steam thread which, while interesting too, I know next to nothing. hehe! Oh well!

Some very nice work and innovation for sure.

Richard, coming from you, the compliment counts high. your layout gave me a lot of ideas and desires. live steam would be nothing for me. its enough, that i cut my fingers frequently. no need to burn them as well. only thing under pressure here is me. in the afternoon of the 12th (this month!!) i have to set up the layout at the exhibition. trees are mostly bent. i think, tomorrow i can begin to paint and shape the trunks and branches.

got two more.

Oh that’s good, Korm!

Halloween is coming… What are ya gonna do with the other half of the headless dog???..

sorry, too late! we had family visit. i put it on the grill…

original plan was to convert the body into some hunted deer, hanging on the porch, but it wa a very old dog. seemingly the plastic softeners already evaporated. it crumbled under my fingers.
(a problem that i have with lots of my plastic toys. we got a very dry climate hereabouts)

OUCH! today i learned not to wash my hands with thinner… must be strong stuff, they’re selling us. well, some of the trees got their first coat of bark. i used 2 parts dark brown oilpaint, two parts of coarse sand and one part of sawdust.

Korm I think there’s more paint on the tray than on the tree

Korm, maybe you should cut the paint thinner with gasoline… just a suggestion…

He’s kidding, Korm…

Well, he said the paint thinner was too strong… just tryin’ to help out…

I’m thoroughly enjoying the trials and tribulations on this thread
Looks good to me so far Korm! I’m also thinking a swan head on the dog body …unless you have a giraffe?

If not a giraffe, how about an ostrich?

-Kevin.

OK! I will even settle for an Emu

If emu’s are not in season, then how about a sloth? 3 toed, of course.

ignorants, all of you! i dont want to plant coppertrees. better said, i can’t, because i got no mercury cubes as fertilizer. i was not painting the trees, but growing some bark on them. more than half of the stuff on the tray is sand and sawdust. the thinner was too strong for my hands. they look really nice in red now. i will use thinner for the foilage, but never for bark. (old southamerican modeller’s rule) sorry, rooster. no emu heads on dogs. dogsoldiers say its forbidden.

the Southern Gulf Genetic Inc. just informed, that for ethical reasons they would never plant heads of one animal species on the bodies of other animal species. it is rumored, that they doubled security at the laboratory…

  :stuck_out_tongue:
