The forcast for the Northeast is looking worst each day. We still have roads closed from last years hurricane, tropical storm and snowstorm. This next storm could be worst.

I guess I better start putting things away on the railroad and around the house just to be on the safe side. Maybe get a supply of butan so I can at least run some trains afterwards when I loose power. Im so glad got a generator last year.
Yup glad our show was last weekend…
Rain…rain…more rain…and snow. Minnesota at its finest.
I got an inch of snow yesterday. I didnt get a chance to get the plow out and run a few trains though…
I feel like the farmer after the last load of hay is in.
Got all the crusher chips off the drive way, cleaned up around the layout and put away the digging implemnts. What happens out there from here until the snow really flies is gravy.
More rain in the forecast for the next 6 days, which means snow up on the mountain; I guess by Nov 10th we’ll be XC skiing.
Fortunately, they’re not predicting SNOW coming out of this, at least not around here. Yet, anyway. This is the same weekend that last year dumped 15" of heavy wet snow on me, dropped four trees and caused me to rebuild 1/3 of the layout. Another year like that and I think I’d take up stamp collecting.
Let it SNOW. Got about a inch in the north end of Colorado Springs last night. The Rocky Mountain region really needs the moisture, whatever form it comes in. This is the worst fire season I have seen yet in living in Colorado for the last 27 years.
If it rains or snows along the Front Range of Colorado, you’re glad to get the moisture. The weather gods can keep the hail… Nothing good ever comes from that!
@Bob - I remember the storm of last year you speak of - sorry it tore up your layout. I gave up stamp collecting when I was 8 yrs. old for model railroading and never looked back.
PS - The weather guessers are predicting 3" to 5" of snow tonight. “Welcome to Beautiful Colorado”

If you drive west fast you won’t see any rain or snow! It a beautiful fall day)s_ for the next week in Southern California!
forecasters are looking at this are saying could be worse than 91 the perfect storm
Sure makes me glad to live out West. An earthquake might happen to you once in a lifetime, at the most, out here. In the Southeast and Gulf coast areas, you get hit by hurricanes on a regular basis.
They are predicting the weather here may be below 80 this weekend

Gotta love California! I was in Hughson (east of Modesto) today building a garden RR for a Make A Wish kid. Cool and blowy, but not cold, not wet. I think I got sunburned today.
Oh, and to keep on topic, we completed a smallish (under 90 feet) rr with a tunnel, a bridge, a mountain and five foot radius curves. It’s all in a RR tie planter box. From flat back yard to finished RR in two working days.
Summer daze ahead. No chance of rain, just typical glorious summer days. We just had winter, now into late autumn but who would know as temperatures are always mild, just as the creator intended.
Oh, wait a minute all you guys live north of the equator - tough luck.
I could tell you about our weather here, but people already hate me so I’ll just say it was pleasant.
Great project!
