Large Scale Central

Two years later ...

… I finally got around to running another train outdoors. Naturally, I had to clean the track with a Scotchbrite pad, but then my Bachmann Lyn and Aristo track-cleaning car trundled happily for several circuits until I got summoned elsewhere. The Crest Revolution base station works very well, much better than its TE predecessor, now gone to electronic Valhalla.

So many honey-do jobs to do, so little time for trains :frowning:

Welcome back Chris…next we might see you rejoining OVAR, or even dropping by the OVGRS operations…you are missed, and welcome at both.

Fred

Welcome back!

Nice to see you back!

Not that I really ever went away – just been lurking.

Wait!

You mean track power is actually ok and can be used by normal humans? It’s not the work of the evil lord, and does not take endless hours of maintenance?

Wow!

It’s Monday(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-yell.gif) Mondays are always slow. Of course, now that I’m retired, it don’t matter so much.

Since it has been raining today, I’m sitting by the window building a station kit that has been gathering spiderwebs for years(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)

Just nice to hear someone not extolling the horrors of track power, has a system that works for him, and it’s not a huge problem to start up a layout that has not been run in some time.

Greg

I do have some battery projects in the pipeline, but I doubt I will unplug track power. Granted, my railway is small enough that cleaning is not an impossible task.

With a wee bit of time on your hands, Chris…Drop by and enjoy a Saturday morning, operating a railroad…

Fred

LOL Greg.
