Looks good Bob. Nice work
I guess 15 years is a good run for an outside turntable…
The turntable at Burke has been having issues for the last couple of years. And I wanted to try a new design. Some various pvc scraps from the pile…
This one will ride on wheels instead of the center “bearing” and sliders. There will be a spigot in the center for alignment.
Test fit. Looks pretty good. Have to wait for some more SS rail to finish it, but at least I can paint and weather it.
Looks ready for another 15yrs!
WOW, it’s been 15 years already! And yes, it was getting to be a little tough to operate. The replacement is looking good!
Yea, I was surprised it was 15 years. But I like the text right before my post
15 years later
Yep.
Anyway, thats one good thing about saving all the posts back through history.
I’m not going to add a lot of details to the turntable, just enough to provide some interest. Here’s a bit of diamond plate as a walkway down between where the rails will go.
A couple quick coats of satin black, and this project is on hold until I get some rail to finish it up.
Bob is the turntable motorised or manually powered?
Manual. I will (eventually) have track power run to it as well.
