Looks great Bruce. Enlarging the cab and moving the air tanks really changes the look of it.

Bruce really nice work! I really like it! Where did that loco come from for the ET&WNC? K&E #28 sounds familiar but I can’t quite place it?
Chas
Chas,
In 1913, the Kentwood and Eastern took delivery and numbered it 28. K&E was a 31-mile narrow gauge that served a standard gauge lumber operation and ran between Kentwood and Hackley in eastern Louisiana. The narrow gauge shut down in 1918 and the ET&WNC bought it for $11,530.39. The ET&WNC owned it for over a year before selling it to the Linville River Railway in December 1919. The K&E had converted it to burn wood, but when Linville River Railway got it, they converted it back.
Thanks for the info on the Kentwood & Eastern. I was thinking Kendall & Eldred. A much earlier narrow gauge railroad that was somewhat local to me. The K&E I’m familiar with had four Moguls builts by Brooks and one 4-4-0 also built by Brooks.

Bruce,
I hope to see your work at Fred’s next summer. Looks real good.

I guess I’m different. I’m more than willing to pay the 39 cents. And maybe even a few dollars more. It’s the $11,000 that I’d be focusing on.
Finally complete! I really like the way it turned out and I’m pleased to have all 1:20 locomotives now.
It sounds like one magnet is acting up, as my chuff seems a bit irregular, but other than that she runs great!
Really nice looking Bruce. A really nice addition to your motive power.
Nice work!
