Trouble uploading photos

I tried several times to upload a photo. I kept getting this error message
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 10284 bytes) in /www1/lscdata.com/uploader.php on line 38
Has anyone else gotten this?

Roger,
Are your photos resized to around 500 x ? pixels before you upload them?
Do that first. And name them something simple, without any numbers or signs like ", (, ), etc.
Then try again.
