Decal style looks good - to my eye it looks right for the tinplate style of construction.
Very nice job, Jerry.
Is the “Lexington” one decal?
Decals that large always give me fits

Jerry, Great end to an unusual start. Really like the looks of it.

Looks good Jerry…
R2D2 approves!
What the hell is that all about!
Love it!
Jerry, Decals look great on the trolley…
Thanks guys. Lexington is one big decal. Following Stan’s instructions it went on fine, with no decal setting stuff. He has you dip it in the water(with a few drops of dish washing liquid) then take it out and sit it on the side for a few seconds, then wet the surface it goes onto and slide it off, blot dry, seal with Krylon clear the next day or two. I have usually had to use some decal solution stuff but not this time.
That’s a huge decal. It sure turned out nice.
Jerry… That sure looks great… Nice work and Just the right decal for it to.
Your work has made me brave enough to try my hand at decals! Very nice work. Did that come from a laser printer?
Doug, I got them from Stan Cedarleaf, he uses an Alps printer(no longer made) they can do white/etc…I’ve had good luck with laser decals, but just dark colors on clear decal paper.
Some guys print on the white decal paper, putting the car color around it, so the lettering looks white, or you can paint white/color on the car where the lettering will be and put a clear decal over it that has color around the lettering, so the white/color paint shows through as white/color lettering.
I had problems with my ink jet decals blurring, despite clear coating.
Stan’s web site is: http://gold.mylargescale.com/StanCedarleaf/WebPageDecals/CustomDecalsx.html
He’s gone for a week or two though, left for Marty’s yesterday, I think.
Very nice!

Thanks Jerry. By the time he gets back I should have the Shay back from getting its rc/battery and sound. Besides, I’m digging about 100 feet of trench because I’m installind power for those that need it and lights for the train barn.

Hi Jerry
I’m getting ready tp “bash” a trolley. Where did you find the trainman and conductor? Mine’s going to need some “life!”
Yep, Stan is a treasure. He always helps Marty out every year also.
Doug, they are Bachman Trolley figures I bought from a forum member.
