Trip to Charles Ro and the Hobby Bunker

With the early closing of roads (One main one closing at Noon.) around the concert on the Esplanade in Boston I decided to 'T" it in today. The roads being closed also convinced me to scoot out of work early. I ended up heading up to Malden using the Red Line/Orange Line and bus to Charles Ro to pick up parts for a couple of cars I recently won in a drawing and needed some TLC. I got my parts and while there I hit the sale tables and picked up a bunch of LGB items marked down really LOWWWW for a friend and myself. A successful trip. Stopped at the local packy for a non-alcoholic cold drink then bused it to the Hobby Bunker also in Malden to satisfy my Sci-Fi figure and plastic model jones. If you need figures they have them in all different scales. That done orange line to green line to wife’s car and wife. Picked up daughter at work and she had us stop at Garlic and Lemons in Allston, MA. Fantastic Shwarma sandwiches! Did I say FANTASTIC SHWARMA SANDWICHES!!! Now resting at home watching the concert.
Kudos to the people at Charles Ro, very helpful and good spirits. Also good to see some of the guys I have got to know over the years. Same with the workers at the Hobby Bunker.

Nope long gone!

The tracks are gone as well except in one short spot. It is now a bike/walking path. Realize I forgot to pick up paints at the Hobby Bunker.

But Larry, did you wear your speedo???

Andy,
I wore my Stars and Stripes speedo. Under my Bellbottom jeans of course. I also played Stars and Stripes Forever on my iPhone as I was going to each of the stroes and coming back home. Want the video?
