Trainworld "LGB Sale" = change in LGB status?

On MLS, I asked the following and got the two responses:

In responding this week to a TrainWorld e-mailed “sale” notice – of interest was their 2009 LGB “sale” listing of LGB products – I got the following terse response to my phoned-in order:

“Out of stock at this time. Call back in 30 days when reordered.”

The wheelbearing sets, the 90 degree crossovers, and many of the other assorted items from the list we have understandably considered as no longer being made. So what’s the motive in leading callers on if there is not some merit to the two claims being made in both verbally stating out of stock and then encouraging reordering?

Or, does TrainWorld know something about the status of LGB that one of our LS readers may also be aware?

Responses on MLS:
Reader Nicholas Savatgy responded as having called one of the owners, named Paul, the same day I made my phone order, and was told that “TrainWorld is clearancing out all LGB items and will restock LGB from Walthers buying from Walthers only to restock from here on out.” But, he said “as there is no LGB in production at this time, he didn’t know when stuff would start trickling in, if ever.”

Reader Dan Pierce added: “At least TW has a short list, Watts had a huge list of LGB and when trying to order you get the 3 red asterisks saying back-ordered. It would be nice if these stores had an indicator of out of stock on the main pages next to the items so as to not waste our time.”

Any other recent insight as to the mfg. status of Marklin/LGB that would encourage the big-three mail-order houses?

Supposedly the containers are expected this week. Actually I was told on Sunday “Wait 'til next week” and since the guy is European I’m not sure if he goes by the NA or the EU convention. But it sounded like REAL soon NOW!
Which reminds me, do you remember the arrival of the first Microsoft NT OS? It was also “real soon now” for some time.

It sure would be nice if these venders would quit anticipating LGB until it’s on the shelf.
As far as I’m concerned it is false advertising.
It’s total dishonesty to sell something that doesn’t exist.
