Trains overhead at work

While working the other day The N&S rolled by overhead. A bit scary to be under it while it went by but we didn’t have a choice. The tressel I believe was last updated in the 30’s for the Nickel Plate Road. That monster shook the ground like the world was coming to an end!

cool pics…

That’s a great looking bridge! But I don’t think I’d like being under when a big train like that goes over it!

Excellent pictures. It’s not often you see the engineer hanging out the window

I’m generally close to the tracks when I’m taking pictures. A derailment would kill me faster than the train coming off the bridge would

It wasn’t my favorite place to be at the moment but it was neat to see. We moved all non essential people out from under the bridge while trains passed, which was a pain but necessary. The bridge is about 80’ high, and has no walkways, they were removed awhile ago. I took the photos with my phone a droid X which, i think, takes pretty nice pics.

Nice pictures Terry. Maybe I’ll catch a picture of my son-in-law hanging out the window like that someday, he’s an Engineer for BNSF. BTW Terry what were you doing under the bridge anyway.

Good stuff!

I work for the fire dept and we were doing a water recovery in the creek below.
