As some of you know, I am also interested in H0 scale trains, in particular the CPR,CN,ONR, GN and SP&S…
With Accurail now making a set of three 40 foot boxcars in the old style - brake standards and front-facing ‘Rocky’ - I invested in nine of them [to begin with] to get me something to haul behind my pair of brass Tenshodo Y-1s.
They came from Jim woods in Florida - a guy who runs an internet store called train magic, an supplier of all my Branchlines SP&S passenger cars to haul behind my sunset Hobbies #700.
They took about fifteen minutes each to assemble, most taken up with balancing the teeny brak-wheel on its standard…but ther was one wheelset missing.
I e-mailed Jim last thursday, and the wheels arrived this morning - Florida to UK in four days.
Thanks, Jim.
He also does a limited amount of large-scale stuff, but I have my own sources for what I need over in the PNW, but if you are in need of H0 stuff, I’d give Jim a shot.
