TrainOps 2026, and more?

In addition to this year’s TrainOps (sometime in early Sept, date TBD) we’re pondering two or three other ops session, and want to gauge interest. Thinking mid-May-ish and late July, with a possibility of an early October as well.

Anyone interested?

We’re interested, but need to wait for other family travel plans to settle down… Probably early Sept will work best.

Possibly. Marilyn wants to be in the Danbury area around Memorial day weekend in May. We will be traveling the opposite direction in July so I’d be a definite no for July.

September and/or October would probably be a no if we come up in May, but a maybe if we don’t.

Interested, yes. May might be harder, as that will be my one year anniversary with my wife.

Oooo, perfect anniversary trip opportunity then!

May I suggest this super fun artsy triangle-shaped BnB in Chelsmford that we stayed at last time (between Stan’s and Bob’s):

Or… if you like roughing it, climbing rocks to get to the front door, and saving dough, this is literally up the street from Bob’s. I stayed here alone the first time I ventured up there.

And between days at Bob’s and wherever, Lowell is just amazing:

:grin::grin:

Cliff, a museum??

they are one year together. i estimate, that they will be more interested in cotton mattresses, than in cotton museums…

John, have you seen Bob’s layout? I’ve seen photos! Reportedly, Linda said it was the most romantic waybill operation she has ever been to.

And as paper is the preferred gift for first anniversaries, this could be the perfect anniversary gift from a romantic railroad baron.

You’d just have to clear it with Bob. Perhaps naming your first child after him might help.

It’s an amazing museum, Korm… Lots of history, canals everywhere, art displays, water, trolley rides, shopping ops, historic machinery that runs, walks, historic architecture, water-powered tech, history of child labor and how it was ended, food, good parking, and it’s close to Stan’s and Bob’s.

I agree. It might be the highest form of sucking up ever witnessed on LSC, but WTH. I can already hear Mrs. Wilda explaining to her daughter why she was named “Bob.”

Alternatively, but still to your point though Bill, after experiencing Lowell, the names “Twill” and “Tweed” came to mind. Just putting that out there, in case of twins.

hmmm… - that would make it about 7 or 8 thousand miles from here.
i’m afraid, that i can’t make it this year.
