Everyone must be having fun. No pictures for us who had to work the weekend.
LAO
Hey Larry - quite busy. Festivities just now broke up!
Unfortunately I had my camera set wrong and all the pictures I took at Al’s and many of those from Bob’s are too underexposed to use. Today, at Stan’s I was too busy running trains for pictures, but I did see a few cameras around so some should surface soon.
A brief summary of the weekend, with some pictures following.
The weather was great. Threatened rain for Sunday never materialized. Friday saw Jon and Ric heading up to Al Pomeroy’s place. People started showing up here around noon, with the bulk of people arriving around 4-ish. Many trains were run, many new people welcomed. Friday evening saw a lighted passenger train cruising around the layout to the delight of all. A fire in the fire pit, surrounded by friends, ended Friday.
Saturday’s operations commenced about 930, with setout trains. Those took about an hour, then manifest switchlist operations started. Ric and Andy took Franklin Falls switcher duty, and Doug took Burke. Over the course of the day, we ran 4 ‘sets’ of operations of 5 trains each, plus another run down to the new area at Oakhill. I will have total cars/weight once I find all the manifests. Saturday night, again, saw us around the fire pit.
Sunday’s operations at Stan Ames’ layout went well, despite the novice dispatcher at the helm (your humble reporter). Many many trains were run (I counted 12 on the RR at one time, 9 another, with them constantly entering and leaving service). We started about 10:00, and dispatcher services suspended at 3:30, but there were still trains running around at least until 5:00. Some people went to Stu Gralnik’s O Scale layout in the evening, and others retired to the campground for dinner/beer/company around yet another fire.
A great weekend.
Stu Moxley, Jon Radder (back turned), Al Pomeroy, Paul Norton, watch Doug Matheson work Burke Yard, while Andy Clarke, and Ric Golding work Franklin Falls.

Great photos. Thanks for sharing… Bob’s Layout looks great to.
Thanks, guys. We had a great weekend, only a few minor trouble spots, and a couple of good suggestions.
There were lots of cameras about, so I assume once everyone gets home and sorts things out, there will be more.
B.D., all the work and buildings look great. Looks like your OPs session went well.
Were the track improvements well received ?
Glad everyone seemed to have a good time
