TrainOps 2011

I think we all need to send Jon $20 every couple of months for postage, and get care packages in return…

Not a good idea. Your likely to get nothing in return

Not much. Maybe some coroplast if anyone wants. After the East Coast show I stopped bringing so much stuff home - I ran out of places to put it ! If you can use small pieces of PVC I might have some of that "in-stock" to unload.
I understand Jon!! I gave up a while back trying to save all the scraps that get tossed.

Getting closer! Anyone that is coming, and DOESNT have my address, email me!

You are, and you’re are used differently than “Your”, which is possesive as in “Your automobile; your finger; your railroad”.
I present this to inform anyone that cares to use good english.

Shouldn't that be "Proper English" with a capital E ?

Have fun guys and post lots of pics!

Sorry Fred. I don’t speak English, correct or proper. I speak Merican. That’s my excuse and I’m stickin’ to it.

Jon…

Yes, I should have used a capitol “E”…I make mistakes too…

oops wrong area

I have your address, I don't believe I have your Ph #........

Looking better for making the trip with the RV. I finally heard from both jobs with an OK for Friday off. Marilyn may have to work, but she gets out about 3:30 so we could conceivably be in the campground by dusk. I’ll try and talk her into taking a personal day, or calling in sick

Not sure if I will get to doing the bearings on the trailer. I planned on doing it evenings this week, but spent them and most of today cleaning up from Lee. Tomorrow might be rainy here.

I guess you can include us in the meal count for Saturday

EDIT for UPDATE: Campground confirmed. Got the second to last spot. Last year it was nearly empty, this year they have too big groups. Marilyn says she has sick days to burn so we’ll see y’all mid-afternoon Friday.

Great! Jon, tell Marilyn she’s welcome to the rose hips again if she wants them.

Sean

Sean - Sorry you can’t make it, I keep missing you at these shindigs :frowning:

I’ve spent the last 4 days getting our travel trailer whipped into shape to travel for the first time in almost a year. It’s amazing how dirty something white can get while sitting outside :o I still have a few minor maintenance items to do; then it’s time to start packing. Hope to be on the road before noon tomorrow.

Have fun guys and dont forget to get pictures. We like pictures.

And, somehow, you think this thread is safe from this crew? :P
See Daniel, we can behave when asked nicely :)

Thank you Bob & Martha. We had a great time

Sorry to say I didn’t take a single photo at Bob’s. Fortunately Bob took plenty, so hopefully he will post them soon.

A great time was had by all. We ran 12 trains (3 each session, an experiment in scheduling that seemed to work). Two sessions in the morning, broke for lunch, two in the afternoon. Thanks to all that showed up. Only a couple track problems from all the rain. Two sections that had un-leveled itself a bit (Bruce found them both!) and a switch on the main that was cranky (Ken’s K didnt like it). A few choice pictures: Stan checks out the train he and Ken are about to take out
