This is a multi scale show so while there is some Large Scale it is not overwhelimg.

Bachmann, MTH, Aristocraft are the major locomotive prodcers. St Albens the major dealor plus some smaler manufacturers and dealors.

Hope that helps.

Stan Ames

For future reference, this year’s Trainfest had many more large scale layouts than in years past. There were two major large scale dealers - St Aubin’s and RLD Hobbies (both had dirt cheap prices on AMS stuff, especially RLD), and at least five or six large scale layouts.

The G-Whiz Gang is there every year with their beautiful layout (http://members.aol.com/gwhizgang/) (and the layout that got me into large scale as well). Then there was a “toylike” large scale layout on the floor that was aiming toward attracting children. And there were at least 3 other setups, one “standard gauge”, the others 1:29ish, including one running a Big Boy.

Also, Bachmann always has a booth with their latest Fn3 creations. This year featured the new K27 and their Spectrum rolling stock. I have to admit I was skeptical about the price tag of the new Bachmann cars, but after seeing them and holding them, I think they are worth every penny.

I go to Trainfest every year, and this year had more large scale layouts than I can remember. Well worth it.

Also, on the Trainfest website, they always list the layouts, manufacturers, and clubs that will be there. I know for a fact St Aubins and RLD Hobbies will both be back in 2008.

Take care all,
Scott

Scott,

Welcome to LSC.

Thanks for that link to the “gwhizgang”.
