Like I told Ric, it’s a shame we can’t do this more often, but 3 or 4 times a year ain’t bad.
I’m glad to hear everyone made it home safely and that ya’ll had a good time.
And the pix are great.

Jon,I believe that car at the diner is one of the original Blue Comet observation cars from the Jersey Central.
They did say it on the menu that it was from the Blue Comet. I noticed when we were leaving that it was an OBS car. Seemed very narrow inside. A deuce on one side and a quad on the other with maybe a 28" aisle in between. It was a lot of fun to eat in, I did mention to Marilyn that they should introduce some artificial movement and some rail clack sounds in the background

A Blue Comet observation car called Biela was moved to Clinton, New Jersey in the 1970s and continues to serve as part of a restaurant there.
Shawn - It’s the Clinton Station Diner. Off I-78 WB. Going EB you need to go past it to next, then U-Turn for back to the WB exit. You can see the diner and the car from the highway. Great food, huge portions and nice prices.
Bev and Ken, we have to add our voices to the Thanks for the hospitality. We had a great time and still made it to Wheeling for the night. An early rise and a quick trip home with a stop in Indy for the dock float allowed us to get here in time to free our critters from their prison at the kennel.
Hard to believe its over for another year. Oh well, we’ll just have to find some things to do until next Spring.

At least Jon isn’t bending over this time! Looks like all had a great time! Sean

It was a wonderful day at Ken’s…
I wish I had figured out the tracking fix on “Shorty” before we got to Kens. I messed with it today and solved it.
I’m using original Delton trucks that I buy in bulk as parts from eBay. They don’t come with springs. I have been cutting down pen springs which are a good match for diameter, but not as stiff. With the extra weight of batteries, a big speaker, the RC gear and all the plastic I added to the car, the pen springs were allowing the truck to sag. This caused the bolt detail on top of the arch bars to get snagged in the bolster stopping the truck from rotating.
There was one spot on my indoor loop that it would derail every time. I swapped out all 8 springs with the correct ones from Aristo Classic trucks and now fully loaded with two 4 cell battery packs it tracks perfectly everywhere indoors and out.
A few additional shots from ken’s:
a Most enjoyable day… thank you one and all…
Good pix. Thanks Andy & Jane

Actually it did …note the blind eye turn…
Ralph
Good run!
I guess Jon’s cold, hard cash was worth more than Rooster’s promise…
