Brings to mind question of whether locomotive cabs have such things in their emergency supplies. The other day I was having a random imagination, for no discernible reason, asking the question of what happens if a train hits one of those CO2 trucks like some of which go to the fast food joints to fill built-in tanks: could there be a suffocating cloud leaking around locomotive cab?
But, why? Trucks are supposed to stop before crossing tracks, ensure there is no train coming, then proceed across the crossing without shifting gears, so they don’t get stuck.
Yea, I know, I didn’t always do that when I was driving neither.
Heck we get motorists trying to beat a miniature train in the UK. Been a few fatalities including due to idiots one of them the rail company managing directors wife who was driving the loco when a guy tried to beat it across the crossing… No accounting for stupidity…
Why ??
Why would numerous folks “PLAN” a route that hauls a 130’ concrete bridge beam around a tight S-bend which crosses a high speed freight line?? With a State Police escort no less??

or more pointedly, ‘Truck driver attempts suicide/domestic terrorism hitting Train …’

The truck driver said they were only there a few minutes after getting the trailer stuck on the track before the train showed up.
