A train derailed locally today. Miraculously, there were no injuries. We had several inches of rain last evening and it is believed that a culvert partially washed out causing the derailment. The train had four engines and somehow they got over the culvert. Engineer said the track appeared to be suspended in mid-air. There were no hazardous materials involved. All the derailed cars were empty except a couple filled with scrap metal.
