We’ll give it a good test in July…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Wow. That looks great! Nice work, and I’m sure it will make a big difference.
Rooster’s dead man!
Like the grade reduction documentation, would be nice if you dug the story back up about “Dead Rooster Gulch” for the new comers. It was a well written story but I hate that story and it should be printed as a “pop-up” book as they scare the hell outta me sometimes!

As threatened, I’m rebuilding the stepover. It was a sort of triangular shaped deck. That was all torn out, and five tons of 1- and 2-man rock delivered. Here’s progress to date.
You can see in this pic the large piece of slate as a tunnel top, where the odd and ungainly stepover was.
And, from the back grade, new tunnel to the left.
I’m about 80 percent done. I’m hoping to have it all in place this weekend, as I still have a bit of trackwork to do at Majestic before TrainOps in < 3 weeks.
Our plans and reservations are made. Look forward to seeing everyone.
This year’s rebuild is Majestic. The well-built deckwork at Majestic just wasnt working for the track layout. I tried for a few years to make it work, but I finally decided to rip it out (Sorry Sean!)
A brick retaining wall went in to protect the grade down to Oakhill.
I ran out of SS rail and ties, so there’s still a brass switch and some track in place, but that will be replaced after TrainOps.
Don’t worry, Bob, we’ll find more sh…err stuff for you to fix…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

You always do. One of the reasons I like Friday as a “Run what you brung”. Gives me one last chance to find track issues.
