Track realignment at Burke (and beyond)

Yea, but being out of work precludes buying anything I don't already have.
Saw plenty of cinder blocks...they rise and fall the same as deck blocks might want to pound some rebar in the stacked ones though. Also saw lots of ladder pieces here and there. Not sure if you have any ground contact on the line but if your not happy with the ladder raised I certainly would use it on ground level.

Today’s progress. The east switch at Burke installed.

Now I need to build another switch for the yard entrance, and 4 more switches for the next town.

Nice!!

Progress!! This is good.

Keep crankin’ Bob and you’ll be done before we get there and we can change it to an operating session

This weekend should put a damper on things though, but maybe not for you.

I have a bunch of switches to make, and its supposed to monsoon for a few days here, so I guess Ill get as many as I can done.

I have a bunch of 8.5 by 8.5 block 3 inches thick. I also have i think 7 by 12inch 2 inches thick block. Could you use those and if so someone just has to stop by and pick them up on their way to your place.

Burke Yard was graded and laid out today. Here’s the basic layout, with the various tracks labeled

looking good, Bob…

Nice looking Bob. You’ll be running before long.

Pictures taken facing north at 2pm est.

Not bad for a jig saw puzzle. Looks like fun. Later RJD

Gee - HJ was complaining about S-Curves, but that yard lead has a pretty sharp bend :o

Actually thats an illusion from the camera. The curve is the same arc as a #6 switch, about 10 feet or so radius.

I don’t think we are talking about the same piece of track. I mean the straight track that you labeled Yard Lead, immediately to the right of the level. The one that’s just set there temporary like.

Jon, I believe that track has yet to be bent into the proper curve…

Just my opinion…

Bob, nice work…

But Jon, we didn’t know that…

Laid 80% of the trackwork at Burke Yard today. I need to modify the table a bit, widen it a 2x6s width on one side, but the layout works.

Track capacity L-R is 3 4 5 6 6.

Looks like you’re off on a tear there Bob. Must be getting some good weather up there.
