So I was just looking around for track inspection vehicle that would be a 1930’s era. I typed in Yahoo Old Rail Vehicles and this came up. Very cool
Or an old Indian Motorcycle
That Pierce is a beauty!
I like this one…
So I made my own version…
This one first, but the battery died…
So, I made one from a Stomper…
Nice Bruce. I was thinkin I want to play with the Tamiya motor gear boxes and something alon that lines would be a good candidate for one. @ 3v a couple double A would run it. Use the LED controller of Dave’s and it could be RC. Hmmm add that to the bucket.
You’re lucky, management is always on the look out to save a buck… we supplied our bikes.
I wish I had the illustration for the number 2 attachments… but of course the powers that be said Why?
John
Oh yea, I have a few stomper-esque things around here somewhere, for the someday list of making something like that too Devon.
$5.45 for that? Frickin high way robbery. I guess the good drugs were available then also.
I would love to see what Shawn and Moose could come up with for a rail bike.

Oh heck yea, Morphine was available from the Sears and Roebuck catalog back then.
laudanum hydrochlorate
Many a doc prescribed Laudanum …
Cool Bruce! I saw that add for the Teetor rail bike and immediately recolonized it. I’m fortunate to have a friend who owns one and we took it out for a spin earlier this year. Very fun, and amazing how fast you can get it going.
WHo doesn’t like those old track inspection vehicles especially the custom one offs ??
That Indian motorcycle is really cool. I like the big brake pedal and there is a pin on the back to hook up a trailer.
After second thought WHY didn’t I take a photo of Eric S. with his scratchbuilt hand car on the 7/8th track at the Big E yesterday? maybe he will jump on here and post one for us?
Here is a picture of a railcar on the Wiscassett RR in Maine.
