Hi
Does anyone have any idea what pound per yard code 200 and 250 rail would be in 1/29th scale?
Thanks Daryl

Hmm… you got me thinking, Daryl.
.2" x 29 = 5.8"
.25" x 29 = 7.25"
However, “standards” were not always standard. This chart demonstrates how profiles varied between railroads for a given height of rail.
https://www.txholdings.com/rail_chart.php
So, 5.8" seems to represent 100 lb, for most railroads.
And 7.25" appears to represent 136-140 lb.
Hope that helps,
Cliff
Nice reference, Peter.
Thanks for your thoughts Cliff.
Thanks for the link Peter.
I’ve had “Da Trains” website bookmarked for 20 years. Rick put a ton of useful info on it - not just rail sizes.
Yea, me too. One of the most useful model train sites on the net.
