Trace Adkins singing the National Anthem at the World Series

Trying to figure out how old Adkins is and looked up his biography on Wikepedia. Thought this was great!

“As a youth, Trace was in an automobile accident in which his 1955 pickup truck hit a bus head-on. Both his arms, a leg, and some ribs were broken and his nose was partially torn off. Trace was forced to give up football after a severe knee injury at Louisiana Tech. He has also experienced a number of serious injuries as an adult, including being shot by his ex-wife in 1994. The bullet went through his heart and both lungs. He survived and chose not to press charges. The little finger on his left hand was partially severed and surgically re-attached.”

I guess he still loved her.

If you’ve ever seen him in person, you would think, “that is one big dude!”

I think he also was a roughneck, working in the oil fields when he got his big break in country music.

I seem to also remember that Trace got shot in a parking lot trying to help a woman who was getting robbed or raped.

Is there a link to the National Anthem? Trace Adkins is a classy human being. He is an outspoken supporter of the Wounded Warrior project, He has a bunch of daughters, one with a disability. He finished second on Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice to Piers Morgan, who in my opinion sucked. Actually he was a suck up. Trace was representing a foundation that supports his daughter’s disability. Many of his songs are about kids and family. He is really a ok guy.
