I just saw a Toyota ad on TV and noticed something familiar with the logo.
To me it looks like the Chicago & North Western logo.
What do you think?
Yeah, probably a railfan working at that ad agency.
From working in the sign industry, the circle with shield is a fairly common logo. Our design guy used to call the shield an orbit.
but yeah, it sure does resemble the CNW logo.

The wording is entirely different! 
Saw the ad again tonight. Now all I can see is the CNW.
I’m sure it’s a coincidence. But it is still fun to think a train fan might have been thinking CNW while drawing the logo.
