Top Secret (sssshhh!) project - part I

The first part of my Top Secret project has been completed. Its a Herb Deeks mine train in Gn15 (technically 1/24n15). I picked up the resin and white metal castings kit on eBay last year. Its what the Ozark Miniature Gn15 trains are based on. The metal bits were blackened with my new home made brew.

The new gang has been painted. Two figures are from the kit, two are Lionel figures repainted and three are SLM figures (which are very nice!). Painting figures can be very taxing to middle aged eyes. I had to borrow a pair of my wife’s magnifiers :frowning: .

Brian looks neat, so where you gonna use it?..top of the hill?

Brian, those look great! They’ll look fantastic painted

What are slm figures?

I have not figured out yet, if or where, I’ll put it outdoors. That’s TBD for now.

SLM is Supply Line Models ( http://www.slmonline.com/ ), out of Bal-tee-more, Hun  . They have a number of finely cast figures in 1:20, 22.5 and 24. Figures 2, 5 and 7 are from their 1:24 line.

SLM’s figures are really nice, some of the best I’ve seen.
