My current favorite is the one I found on a place called stickergiant.com … Kind of sums up my opinion of underemployment.
Letterman had a tongue in cheek comment the other night as regards the death of Sir Edmund Hillary, ‘conqueror’ of Mount Everest in 1953?. Letterman had a purported response to Sir Edmunds death with a supposed response from Bill. Bill’s response was along the lines of ‘like Sir Edmund, I also had to mount something cold and frigid, Mount Hillary.’ Now that would make an excellent bumper sticker.

Warren, our manager was complaining to me one day that we weren’t worth what she paid us “to sit on (our) butts in a chair and smoke cigarettes” (I don’t smoke, and am usually too busy to sit, at least for very long)… then in the next breath she griped how she couldn’t find enough people she could trust for the job. (We work unsupervised)…nothing like wanting it BOTH ways.

It is funny how the price of oild has continued to climb and the government thats run buy an ex-oil texan hasn’t really done jack crap about it. Not a conspracy theorist at all , but come on!!! and before a texan camoes in and says “Don’t mess with Texas” trust me I’m not trying, That moron in the oval office messed it up enough already. Don;t need my help
I’m a Texan ,not a native . I think it’s a bunch of crap to watch to prices go down on tuesdays and back up on the weekends . And up on holidays,and then they give reasons like, plants being shut down for repair and stuff like that. I don’t think it matters who is in office.

The price of gas has little to do with US internal politics, but a LOT to do with market forces. We haven’t built a new refinery in about 30? years. We haven’t developed any large new fields in about as long either. Just about any time the idea of either is raised the NiMBYs and enviros raise a stink and it gets bogged down and eventually abandoned. At the same time we are using a LOT more oil than we were 30 years ago, not just gasoline, but plastics, petrochemicals, you name it… Next add in the emerging economies in places like China and India buying more which adds upward pressure to the world supply of crude. Now mix in the instability in the middle east…some of which we have caused directly, the rest aggravated with our short sighted foreign policy blunders (some going clear back to Eisenhower, those people have long memories)…Then the final blow is a VERY weak dollar because we keep borrowing more and more off foreign banks.
The word that describes it best is the same one Clint Eastwood’s character used in the movie “Heartbreak Ridge” to describe the readiness of his unit…which I won’t repeat because this is a family board 
maybe we should get another tax rebate, that will stimulate the economy! - wait, Bush is working on that…
We are in so much debt, but yet the gov’t is giving rebates?? Now I’m not an economics major but doesn’t that seam kinda, like , retarded?
I’m not a Clinton fan, but I might point out that the Debt clock in New York City was taken down because during that administration the gov’t actually had a balanced budget, was paying off debt, and such…
My personal favorite is the governmental myth of a “surplus” just because you take in more money than you spend in one year doesn’t mean you have a surplus if you still are trillions of dollars in debt. It’s not a “surplus” just means you failed to allocate the money to pay off a debt. Man I hate politics, So who’s gonna use their $800 on the railroad??
If they seriously wanted to stimulate the economy a 90 day suspension of the federal motor fuel excise tax would make us at least feel a little richer (I think it’s about 18c/gallon on gasoline, 13c/gallon on gasahol, and about 24c/gallon on diesel at the moment)
If the oil companies know that we are willing to pay 3.25 for a gallon of gas, as soon as the fed suspends the 30 cent tax, i’m sure some “supply problems” would emerge and we will still be paying 3.25 a gallon of gas and some saudi arabian prince will be swimming in more money while thanking his best friend , Mr bush

Now for my little rant. Why is it 100% of the people have something to say about who is in office but only 50% take the time to vote?
Just something to think about.
I voted for the other guy, you know the one that the majority of people also voted for that didn’t win because of that archaic failsafe called the United States Electoral College !!

Social Security went up by 2.3%. That’s what the government will admit to for inflation. But…my light/heating bill went up more than that. Then there is the auto gas, food, clothes, and taxes. Don’t need to add anything else. I just ran out of money. More trains… a new car…:lol:
